LOCAL KE7X DX Packet Cluster 145.01

We have a DX CLUSTER (KE7X) which handles and disseminates DX information from sources all over the country. By logging into the cluster and staying connected you can receive near real time tip-offs of world wide DX including call signs, frequencies, operating times and notes on the DX.  You can also talk with other local cluster-connected stations and keep in touch!

Here is a very short list of the most common commands and help.  For a full manual to the cluster, click here.

To Connect:  in CMD mode, type:  c ke7x <enter>

After you connect, you can show the other connected users by typing:  sh/c <enter>

To talk to a connected station:  t <station call> then your message <enter>
Example:  to talk to KE7X, type:   t ke7x Hi, Fred <enter>  (remember, we may be "connected" but we're not always THERE to respond.)

To send a mail message to a station, type:  s <station call> <enter>
It will ask for a subject, type a short subject then <enter>
It will tell you to type your message - go ahead and when you are all through, type: 
/exit <enter>     to leave the message mode.

To show dx spots, type:  sh/dx <enter>

To show current WWV info, type:  sh/wwv <enter>

To list any mail for yourself, type: 
list <enter>  (to read mail, type:  r <message number> <enter>

To find a list of other available commands, type:  help <enter>

To leave the cluster, type BYE <enter>

On the 146.94 repeater in Butte.  Every weekday morning at 07:03 local time (13.03 UTC), Check in and say hello and even take a guess (even an educated guess) at the trivia question(s).

Second & Fourth Thursday of the month (and the 5th Thursday, if there is one) at 1900 local time (0200 UTC) on 28400.  If the bands are open, up to 28410.
